CPISD is located in the Hill Country town of Center Point, on the Guadalupe River approximately eight miles southeast of Kerrville, in southern Kerr County. Center Point has several small service and manufacturing businesses and attracts a steady stream of vacationers, retirees, and summer residents.
CPISD is a small district serving students from pre-Kindergarten through grade 12 with a static student growth and growing tax base. The district is comprised of three schools including an elementary, a middle, and a high school campus. In 2005-06, the district was rated Academically Acceptable by TEA. CPISD scored above both the regional and state averages in reading, writing, mathematics, and all tests taken.
