Immunization Clinic

The next Immunization Clinic will be held on Thurday, May 24, 2007 in Nurse Connie's office from 9:00am to 10:00am for immunizations.  The cost for immunizations remains $2.00. Please contact Nurse Connie with questions regarding immunization requirements for students, or other health issues.

Meningococcal Vaccine

The Kerrville Department of State Health Services has meningococcal vaccine available for college bound seniors.  Parents need to call DSHS office at  896-5515 to make an appointment for their student if the college the student will be attending requires the vaccine.  The fee is sliding scale, based on income.  It normally does not cost more than $30.00.

Flu Vaccine

Flu Vaccine for children up to 18 years of age is available through the Department of State Health Services in Kerrville.  The fee for a vaccine is $10.00 and Medicaid will be billed if necessary.  A doctor's order is not required.  Call 896-5515 to make an appointment for your child.

Blood Drive

CPISD held a Blood Drive in conjunction with their annual Health Fair on April 27, 2007. For information on how you can make a donation of blood to support the Southwest Texas Blood and Tissue Center please contact Nurse Connie.

2005-2006 Health Fair

The CPISD Heath fair was held on Friday, April 27, 2007 in the CPISD Cafetorium from 1:30- 3:00pm.  There were many exciting presenters this year.  Students, staff members and community members received free samples of Soy Delicious Dairy Free Ice Cream from Turtle Mountain Company.  New to the Health Fair this year, were students from the Connelly School of Cosmetology, teaching students that when they look good they also feel good!

   Aim For Success

The Aim For Success Abstinence program is presented each year to students in grades 7-12.  For more information about Aim For Success contact Nurse Connie or visit the Aim for Success web page at: www.aimforsuccess.org

School Walk for Diabetes

The 2006/2007 School Walk for Diabetes was held on November 8, 2006.  What a fun event!
