Mr. Sherry Rivers

Mr. Rivers lives in Center Point and has been here since 1995.  He is married to wife, Sunny and they have one son, who is currently serving in Iraq.  He and his wife are members of The Christian Church in Center Point.

Mr. Rivers was raised in rural Arkansas.  He attended school in Dierks, Arkansas, a small town in southwest Arkansas.  He attended college in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, at Henderson State University.  He met his wife while at college.  He worked for JC Penney for thirty four years.  He started to work for JC Penney in Arkansas and was promoted and transferred to Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.

Mr. Rivers not only has an interest in our community, but also things that effect our children and their families.  He has volunteered and helped with the Texas Youth Hunt program for several years.  He volunteers and works with the sixth grade class from B.T. Wilson in Kerrville.  He helps with their annual Outdoor Education Class at the HEB Camp near Leakey.

Mr. Rivers is familiar with the issues that face our school, our students, and our School Board.  He realizes the importance of the decisions our board makes, and the focus they place on the students, faculty and the school itself.  He looks forward to being an effective member of our School Board and serving the Center Point Community.
