School Safety and Security Meeting
In accordance with guidelines from the Texas School Safety Center (TxSSC), each Texas school district is required by law to establish a school safety and security committee. The school safety and security committee responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to central coordination of safety efforts and assists with drills and exercises, school safety and security audits, policy development, and training. To ensure the committee has a significant impact on the school’s climate and culture the School Safety and Security Committee here at Center Point ISD is a working group of diverse individuals who serve to create and maintain a safe and secure school climate and culture for staff, teachers, students and families. In accordance to Government Code, Chapter 551, these committee members meet together at least once each academic semester and during the summer.
