District-Campus Improvement Plans

Under provisions of the Texas education code, every school district is required to develop a district plan to improve student performance. The District Improvement Plan (DIP) for Center Point ISD is prepared annually in accordance with requirements of Chapter 11, Subchapter F, of the Texas Education Code, specifically §11.251 and §11.252. These requirements are also contained in WISD policies BQ(Legal) and BQA(Legal). Center Point ISD utilizes a collaborative planning process including community and staff input to develop the district’s education plan.

District Improvement Plan (DIP) and Campus Improvement Plan (CIP) are developed annually to be mutually supportive of the state goals and objectives under Education Code, Chapter 4. The purpose of these improvement plans is ensure site-based decision making and to align the work of the schools to the district goals, using data to inform that work, for the improvement of student academic performance for all student groups in order to attain state and district standards with respect to achievement indicators. The DIP and CIPs are crucial parts of our district and campus-level fiscal accountability.
