Financial Transparency

Financial Transparency

Center Point I.S.D. believes in providing our taxpayers with clear and relevant financial information as the district is held accountable for the quality of our financial management practices by state regulations and procedures. We are committed to providing this information in an efficient manner that is to the public transparant, accessible and understandable. This dedicated Financial Transparency page provides financial information for multiple school years and in multiple ways to view the information.

Center Point I.S.D. knows the taxpayers have entrusted the use of raised and/or appropriated funds for educational purposes and strives to be fully transparent in the use of the dollars provided to the district by the county, state and federal governments. As a public entity managing taxpayer’s funds, it is the burden and obligation of leadership to assure the public through financial transparency that their funds are being managed in a system built on accountability.  Good stewardship of district finance is an obligation that must include a fiscally responsible philosophy alongside financially sound goals, and strategies.

The state's school financial accountability rating system, known as the School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST), ensures that Texas public schools are held accountable for the quality of their financial management practices and that they improve these practices. The system is designed to encourage Texas public schools to better manage their financial resources to provide the maximum allocation possible for direct instructional purposes.

For more information on recent updates and ratings please visit the TEA Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) webpage.
