Our school district is dedicated to putting student and staff safety first. Ensuring this task, the following are our efforts: On site Police Department; Criminal background checks on all employees, substitutes, volunteers and contractors on campus; P3 available to all students (Anonymous tip line for threats and/or bullying); Good working relationship with local law enforcement; Frequent mandated safety drills; and, the use of Centegix, a school pass system in place across the district, ensuring that all visitors are checked in prior to entering the buildings.
Michael Earney
Chief of Police for the Center Point Independent School District’s Police Department.
Since taking over the role in April 2020, Chief Michael Earney has worked to ensure school safety for students and staff. As Chief, he provides law enforecement and police services to the district and areas adjacent to the school. Going beyond the roles of safety and security, Earney works to prevent juvenile delinquency through close contact, building positive relationships with all students.
Selena Cooley
Sergeant for the Center Point Independent School District’s Police Department.
Sergeant Selena Cooley has proven herself to be an asset to the Center Point ISD Police Department team. Her dedication and support to the students and families of CPISD goes above and beyond what we could have expected. She takes time to talk with and mentor the students and has great relationships with other faculty members, instilling in them a sense of confidence and security. Her professionalism is very beneficial to the operation of the police department.
