The Zonta Club of Fredericksburg Scholarship Program was established to assist and encourage women of all ages to further their career goals. The Zonta Club of Fredericksburg is part of a worldwide service organization of executive and professional women working together to advance the status of women. Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,500.
General Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants must be a resident of Gillespie County or of an adjoining county: Blanco, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Llano, or Mason.
- Applicants must be a high-school senior or older who will be attending an accredited post-high-school educational institution (i.e. college, university, trade school, etc.)
- Scholarships are based in part on financial need.
- Grade point average will be considered.
- Consideration is given to whether the overall circumstances and plans of an applicant make achievement of her goals realistic.
The application deadline is January 31st each year.
The Award Banquet is on the 3rd Monday in May.
DAR Scholarship
(National Society Daughters of the American Revolution)
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is pleased to offer 26 different national scholarships for graduating high school seniors, and college, graduate and medical students through their online application portal for the upcoming academic year.
Application Requirements
Applicants must be citizens of the United States to apply for one of the national scholarships offered by the DAR Scholarship Committee. Applicants must also attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States. DAR chapter sponsorship is not required, however, applicants may want to reach out to a DAR chapter in their area for help with their applications.

-The Community Foundation provides a universal application that only needs to be completed once. This comprehensive form is designed for both graduating high school students, as well as prior high school students. Based on your responses, the system will automatically assess your eligibility for all available scholarships administered by the Foundation. Once you submit the application, a notification page will display a list of the scholarships you’ve successfully applied for. If any of these scholarships require additional materials- such as an essay, letter of recommendation, or other documentation- you will receive detailed instructions on how to complete those specific requirements.

Eligibility:
All graduating high school seniors who are Texas residents and ready to pursue higher education are eligible to apply. Masonic affiliation is a positive factor considered during the selection process, but it is not a requirement.

Entering Freshman Scholarships application deadline is March 1 at 11:59 p.m. CST. Applying to The University of Texas at Austin via the Common App or ApplyTexas by December 1, automatically submits students to the Forty Acres Scholars Program. Students will be contacted if selected to move forward in the process.

Eligibility-An applicant must be a Senior graduating in the spring of 2026 from one of the following schools: Tivy High School, Ingram Tom Moore High School, Center Point High School, Harper High School, Our Lady of the Hills High School, or Hill Country High School. Hill Country Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (HCTC) wants you to pursue your dream of obtaining a higher level of education. Whether you are seeking an associate, bachelor, or technical certification, you may qualify for an HCTC Scholarship.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicant must:
- be of the 2026 high school graduating class.
- have at least one parent/legal guardian who is a member/customer of HCTC.
- plan to attend an accredited institution (college, vocational or technical school) on a full-time basis (at least 12 hours).
While above average grades are an asset, they are not required to compete for this scholarship as other factors will also be considered (i.e., leadership qualities, participation in extracurricular and community activities, and teacher recommendations).
Legal Guardian is defined as court ordered. Member/Customer is defined as having service in the parent or legal guardian’s name with Hill Country Telephone Cooperative/HCTC.
Applicant must:
- complete an Application for Scholarship.

TTA Foundation Scholarship

The Texas Telephone Association Foundation (TTAF), a non-profit, philanthropic organization founded to help further the understanding of telephony and advance telecommunications as a career choice, will award six, four-year scholarships, in the amount of $2,000 per year to students entering college for the 2026-2027 school year.
Through March 14, 2026, the TTA Foundation will accept applications for scholarships to be granted beginning Fall 2026. It is our intention to fully review every application submitted. The Scholarship Committee will make its selections from those applications which meet the following criteria and include the required materials:
♦ U.S. Citizen;
♦ Student graduating from a Texas high school no later than June 2026 from a school within a TTA member company’s service area.
♦ Student achieving a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher (out of a possible 4.0);
♦ Student planning to attend a Texas college or university by the Fall of 2026
♦ A completed application postmarked or emailed no later than March 14, 2026, including a current transcript
♦ A letter of acceptance from a Texas college or university where student has been accepted.
♦ Student typed essay, consisting of between 300 - 1,000 words explaining their qualifications for the scholarship, their future goals, and how the scholarship will assist them in achieving those goals.
♦ Copy of student’s SAR (Student Aid Report).
♦ Do not send incomplete applications. Do not send additional information to be added to your applications once the original application has been sent.
Please note--special consideration will be given to students who will be pursuing a college degree in fields of study which are of particular interest to telecommunications (such as math, business, education, technology, engineering, and computer science, etc.). The courses of study in high school, extra- curricular/civic activities and demonstrated leadership will also be considered.
By late April, the TTA Foundation Scholarship Committee will select six (6) finalists to receive four-year scholarships in the amount of $2,000 per year.

Eligibility:
-Students must reside in Kerr County or attend school in Kerr County.
-Applicants shall be a local high school Female.
-The recipient must show evidence of academic success and the intent to pursue a higher education at an accredited college or university
-When all other criteria are equal, greater consideration will be given to the applicant evidencing the greater financial need.
-The EWC Scholarship application must be completed with all supporting documentation and returned by the deadline of April 1st.

-Notification of the award will be made at the May meeting of the Executive Women’s Club and at the school’s Graduation Award Ceremony, if applicable.
-The scholarship will be renewable annually for up to four years in the amount of $4,000 per year, payable $2,000 each semester (fall/spring) directly to the financial aid office.
-The recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA, show proof of registration of at least 12 credit hours, and provide grades to committee chair at the end of each term. If the recipient fails to do so, no funds will be dispersed.

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist a student, residing within its geographic area, with his/her
education towards an associate or bachelor’s degree at a Texas college, university or trade school. A child,
grandchild, niece or nephew of a Joshua D. Brown chapter member, living anywhere, is also eligible to apply
for this scholarship.
Application must be postmarked no later than April 1, 2026. The scholarship amount this year is $1500.

4. Applicant must have a recommendation from school counselor.
The scholarship will be announced after May 1, 2026. Scholarship winner will receive funds upon proof of

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist a student, residing within its geographic area,
with his/her education towards an associate or bachelor's degree at a Texas college or
university or trade school. A child, grandchild, niece or nephew of Joshua D. Brown chapter
members, living anywhere, is also eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Application must be post marked no later than April 1, 2026. The scholarship amount this year
is $1,500.
Eligibility:
1. Applicant must be scheduled to graduate by June 2026.
2. Applicant must be a resident of Texas.
3. Applicant must complete the application form.
4. Application must write and attach an essay explaining what challenges they have overcome in their
education.
5. Applicant must have a recommendation from an adult (not a family member).
6. Applicant must have applied to or been accepted to a college, trade school or university.
7. Applicant must have one of the following disabilities to qualify for this scholarship:
a. Physical Disabilities (Blind, Deaf, Amputee, etc.)
b. Social disabilities (ADHD, ADD, Social Communication Disorder, Non-verbal learning disabilities,
etc.)
c. Intellectual Disabilities (Autism, Down Syndrome, Developmental Delays, etc.)
This scholarship will be announced after May 1, 2026. Scholarship winner will receive funds
upon proof of acceptance at an accredited Texas college, trade school or university. The check
will be made out to the student and the school.
