SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY
- Student must be a graduating Senior with plans to attend a University, a
2-year College, or Technical Trade School.
- Students planning to attend a four-year University must have a minimum High School GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Students planning on attending a two-year College or Trade School must have a Minimum High School GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- On-Line Universities are not eligible for the Scholarship
General Instructions for Completing the Application
Applications must be either typed or hand-written, and must be LEGIBLE. Any application deemed not legible by the Scholarship Committee will be disqualified.
Applications will be picked up by the Knights of Columbus Scholarship Committee in the counselor/scholarship coordinator’s office on Thursday, March 26th. Therefore, each applicant must submit his or her completed application to the school counselor in sufficient time for the counselor to complete his or her portion of the application. Please coordinate with your counselor as to the date you should submit the application to the office.
As stated, the Knights of Columbus Committee will pick up all completed applications on Friday, March 27th. Applications not received by the due date will not be considered.
APPLICATION & SCHOLARSHIP PROCEDURES
The Kerrville Knights of Columbus Father Kemper Council Scholarship Committee will evaluate all completed and qualifying applications. One applicant will be chosen to receive this year’s scholarship through an evaluation process – a process established by the scholarship committee prior to the review of any applicant’s file.
The scholarship is for $5,000.00, payable in installments of $625.00 per semester for 8 semesters.
The semester amount of a scholarship ($ 625.00) will be paid directly to the College, University, or Technical Trade School. Confirmation by the Institution of the Student’s acceptance at that Institution must be provided to the Knights of Columbus prior to releasing any scholarship monies to the institution. The student is similarly RESPONSIBLE for providing the council with the appropriate contact information for the College, University, or Trade School for disbursing any funds to the educational institution.
The second semester payment is contingent on the student COMPLETING a full course load (Minimum of 12 semester hours) and with a minimum of a passing grade in each course taken. To receive the second semester payment the student must provide a COPY OF A CURRENT GRADE REPORT, INCLUDING SEMESTER HOURS CARRIED, to the Council for verification. Also any change in the College, University, or Trade School's payment process shall be provided. This information should be sent to:

The Hill Country Retired School Employees Association is offering a $1,500.00
scholarship to a qualified graduating senior who plans to pursue a career in teaching.
Please review the information on the scholarship and application process.
The applicant should meet the following qualifications:
- Graduate from a Kerr County public School in spring 2026
- Enroll as an education major in an accredited college
- Submit completed application form via email by March 27, 2026
- Provide a copy of most current transcript and GPA.

counselors also receive copies of this information.
HCRSEA committee members will assess the applications and schedule interviews
with selected finalists. The winner of the scholarship will be announced as soon as
a decision is made.
The scholarship recipient will be recognized at our HCRSEA luncheon in May.

Eligibility:
-Students must reside in Kerr County or attend school in Kerr County.
-Applicants shall be a local high school Female.
-The recipient must show evidence of academic success and the intent to pursue a higher education at an accredited college or university
-When all other criteria are equal, greater consideration will be given to the applicant evidencing the greater financial need.
-The EWC Scholarship application must be completed with all supporting documentation and returned by the deadline of April 1st.

-Notification of the award will be made at the May meeting of the Executive Women’s Club and at the school’s Graduation Award Ceremony, if applicable.
-The scholarship will be renewable annually for up to four years in the amount of $4,000 per year, payable $2,000 each semester (fall/spring) directly to the financial aid office.
-The recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA, show proof of registration of at least 12 credit hours, and provide grades to committee chair at the end of each term. If the recipient fails to do so, no funds will be dispersed.

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist a student, residing within its geographic area, with his/her
education towards an associate or bachelor’s degree at a Texas college, university or trade school. A child,
grandchild, niece or nephew of a Joshua D. Brown chapter member, living anywhere, is also eligible to apply
for this scholarship.
Application must be postmarked no later than April 1, 2026. The scholarship amount this year is $1500.
Eligibility
1. Applicant must be scheduled to graduate by June 2026.
2. Applicant must be a resident of Texas.
3. Applicant must complete the application form.
4. Applicant must have a recommendation from school counselor.
The scholarship will be announced after May 1, 2026. Scholarship winner will receive funds upon proof of
acceptance at an accredited Texas university or college. The check will be made out to the student and
School.
Sarah Jane Goss Brown Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist a student, residing within its geographic area,
with his/her education towards an associate or bachelor's degree at a Texas college or
university or trade school. A child, grandchild, niece or nephew of Joshua D. Brown chapter
members, living anywhere, is also eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Application must be post marked no later than April 1, 2026. The scholarship amount this year
is $1,500.
Eligibility:
1. Applicant must be scheduled to graduate by June 2026.
2. Applicant must be a resident of Texas.
3. Applicant must complete the application form.
4. Application must write and attach an essay explaining what challenges they have overcome in their
education.
5. Applicant must have a recommendation from an adult (not a family member).
6. Applicant must have applied to or been accepted to a college, trade school or university.
7. Applicant must have one of the following disabilities to qualify for this scholarship:
a. Physical Disabilities (Blind, Deaf, Amputee, etc.)
b. Social disabilities (ADHD, ADD, Social Communication Disorder, Non-verbal learning disabilities,
etc.)
c. Intellectual Disabilities (Autism, Down Syndrome, Developmental Delays, etc.)
This scholarship will be announced after May 1, 2026. Scholarship winner will receive funds
upon proof of acceptance at an accredited Texas college, trade school or university. The check
will be made out to the student and the school.

Eligibility:
1. Applicant must:
• be a graduating senior from a Kerr County High School or,
• be attending or accepted to a college or vocational school, and
• have an academic average of 3.0 GPA or higher,
• complete the Rotary Club of Kerrville scholarship application,
• demonstrate involvement in civic, church and/or community related services,
• exemplify exceptional character, integrity, responsibility, and leadership,
• be attending or accepted to attend an accredited college or vocational school prior to funds being disbursed to the institution, • be a full-time student at his/her college/university or vocational school before scholarship funds are released to the college/vocational school.
2. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, boarding expenses, or related fees.
3. The scholarship may be used for any accredited field of study.
4. The applicant must be a Kerr County resident.
5. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

The goal is to award: a one time scholarship to a deserving Center Point applicant, regardless of their intended major.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Be a graduating High School Senior.
2. Have an overall GPA of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 system.
3. All applicants must have participated in 4-H and/or FFA for all 4 years of high school.
4. All applicants must attend a Texas college or University in the fall of 2026.
Application Requirements:
1. Complete this application in full as instructed. The more legible, the better the image you present, so typing is recommended.
2. Attach an official copy of your HS transcript PLUS an official copy of your SAT and/or ACT scores.
3. Attach the included Scholastic Record completed by your principal or counselor.
4. Attach two letters of recommendation that are current and originally signed.
One letter should be from each of the following people:
a. 4-H or FFA: Your County Extension Agent, 4-H Program Coordinator,
4-H Club Manager, or your FFA agriculture teacher.
b. An academic recommendation from a teacher or administrator.
5. All required forms, letters, must come in ONE package.

- Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students; minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for college and graduate students
- Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, public or not-for-profit, four-year university, or graduate school in the US for the 2026-2027 academic year
- Complete and submit the 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- The HSF Scholar Program is open to students of all races who identify as being of Hispanic heritage
About HSF:
HSF empowers students and parents with the knowledge and resources to successfully complete a higher education, while providing support services and scholarships to as many exceptional students, HSF Scholars, and Alumni as possible.
Founded in 1975, HSF has awarded over $756 million in scholarships. HSF Scholars have access to valuable Scholar Support Services and, as funding permits, scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000.
Additional Important Information:
It takes an average of 30 minutes for students to complete Phase I of the 2026 HSF Scholar Program Application.
- No essays, recommendations, or document uploads are required in Phase I. Simply have your students log in or create a myHSF profile to access the Phase I application
HSF Scholar Program Application Timeline:
- January – Phase I opens January 5 and closes February 15, 2026, 2:00 PM PT
- March – Finalists are announced and invited to Phase II
- June – HSF Scholars pre-selection announcements are sent (Funded and Waitlisted Scholars)
- June – October – Final Document Verification (financial aid award letter, enrollment verification, and related documents)
- End of October – HSF Scholar designations are finalized, and initial awards are disbursed (if applicable) after the verification process is complete
